Over the last month, there have been several announcements of important changes to the Residential Tenancy Act and changes in Government policy relating to the property investment industry. The subjects of NZPIF media comments have included the proposed capital gains tax for properties sold within two years, and requirements for insulation and smoke alarms in rented properties.
